A few years back, I went to the New Balance site and made these New Balance 574 ID Pacific Green.
I basically took the Pacific Green “blank” and ordered it as-is without any further modifications. New Balance’s ID program is now called NB1. These particular NB1s are made in the USA.
I love 574’s – the way I see it, they’re basically the equivalent of the Air Max 1 for New Balance. There are tons of new colorways and collabs on this shoe all the time and any sneakerhead should own at least one pair of 574s. If you have the dough, definitely look into some ID’s like these New Balance 574 ID Pacific Green. The comfort on these is great – I went true to size but may have been able to go down a half size if needed.
How Are The Materials?
Made in the USA New Balance are known for their superior material quality. Normally a pair of 574’s would have decent materials already, but since these are a Made in USA pair, the quality on the suede is just fantastic! I’m not sure if the quality is still this on point with NB1s, but on these, it is excellent.
How Do They Fit?
The shape of the shoe is a little less boxy than many GR 574’s due to the suede material around the toebox. I find these to fit true to size, although with the suede and mesh toebox, I can get away with half a size down and the shoes are still comfortable.
